Hello Roadies!! I’m back on the blog today with some two tone cards featuring gold heat embossing! I made these using the beautiful Banana Leaf Background stamp. I love the way these turned out. Let’s get started!
To make these cards I started by picking two colors of card stock cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″. I decided a bold look would be fun with this background stamp so I chose a teal color and black.
I prepped each panel using anti-static powder. I peeled off the backing from the stamp and inked it up using some clear embossing ink. I laid the stamp face up and laid the card stock panel over it. I carefully ran my hand all over the back of the card stock making sure I covered the entire panel. I peeled it up then sprinkled on some gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess, then heat set. I repeated this for both panels.
Give each panel a few seconds to cool after heat embossing then wipe away any remaining powder with a dry cloth. I cut both panels in half and then matched the pattern up with the different color card stock. Once aligned I used washi tape on the back to hold them together then ahead them onto white A2 sized card bases. I added a thin strip of black card stock where the two colors meet and added a die cut sentiment. That’s all it takes to make these bold cards! Thanks for stopping by, Roadies! –Lorena
