Hi Roadies! I’m back at it again using the new DAYS-E Phrases stamp set. I couldn’t resist using this gorgeous set for another project to share with y’all. I started off with a tealish colored card stock cut to 4.25′ x 5.5″. I stamped the phrases using my stamp platform using a coordinating ink color for a tone on tone look. Next I embossed the large sentiments “The world is” and “with you in it.” onto 1.5″ vellum strips using gold embossing powder. Be sure to prep your vellum using an anti-static powder and keep your heat gun moving while embossing, the embossing powder will melt FAST. Try not hold it over the same spot too long, it can cause your vellum to warp or bubble the embossing powder.
Next I trimmed down the vellum strips and did a bit of a fussy cutting hugging the letters. I positioned them on my panel and folded the edges back and secured them using washi tape. I had a mix of gold and light gold sequins from a previous order and thought these would add the perfect touch!
I added a sparkle of 7 sequins using different sizes to finish off my card. The sequins really compliment the gold embossing powder and I just love the look of embossing on vellum.
