Hey Roadies! I have an ombre ink blended card to share today. I used the Lightbox stamp set for the focal point of this card. I wanted it to be CAS card with a pop of color. Let’s get started!
I stamped the Lightbox outline using alcohol marker friendly ink onto a white piece of heavy weight card stock cut to 5.25″ x 4″.
Next I took some masking tape and masked off the block on the far left. I’m going to be doing some ink blending in each section. I picked three colors and ink blended with the darkest color on the bottom. Once the ink blending for that little strip was done I carefully peeled up the masking tape and masked off the block on the far right and did the same ink blending. I did the same for the center block but started with the darkest color on the top.
Once the ink blending was all done I got to work on my greeting. I used the lovely die from Bella Flora. I die cut the word using gold glitter cardstock and vellum for the shadow. I stamped the word “You’re” from the Bella Flora stamp set onto black cardstock using gold embossing powder.
Put it all together! I matted my card base onto black cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 4.25″. I adhered the lovely flat onto the vellum then popped it up using foam tape. I fussy cut the “You’re” and popped that up with foam. I added some matching enamel dots and jewels and this card is done!
Hope you liked this CAS card using Lightbox. I wanted to show other ways to use a stamp set other than what it’s meant for. If you’d like to pick up any of the sets used today, you can use Lorena10 for a discount. 🙂 See ya next time, Roadies! -Lorena
