Floral Coffee Mug

Hello Roadies! I’m bringing you some flower power for today’s post! I used the new Basics: Floral Coffee Cup as the focal point of this card. You don’t need to do much when you have a beautiful image like this one. 😉

I started off my picking some patterned paper. Sometimes when I don’t know which color scheme I’m going for I turn to the help of patterned paper. I found this pretty floral paper in my stash and went with that. I picked some shades from the paper to color my image with.

I stamped the mug using alcohol marker friendly ink onto some white heavy weight card stock. I colored in my image using colors from the patterned paper. Once I was done coloring I added some highlights using a white gel pen.

I used the coordinating die to cut out the colored image. I love that these Basics sets include the matching die! Yay, for no fussy cutting! I popped up the mug using foam tape. I colored some white cardstock using the same color I used on the mug then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Mari Party.
