Hello my Roadie friends! Today I’m sharing this peek-a-boo flap card I made using Modern Romance and Tiny Dot Clusters. If you’d like to pick up either of these fabulous sets you can use Lorena10 for a discount on all your Ink Road goodies! Now let’s get crafting!
I started off with a white A2 sized card base. I trimmed off 1/4 inch off of the front edge to make a peek-a-boo card. I picked out some black and white patterned paper and cut a strip down to 1/4 of an inch wide and 5.5″ long. I adhered that strip to the inside of my card panel so that it shows when the card is closed.
Next I prepped some black card stock with anti-static powder. I stamped some of the envelopes from the Modern Romance set using clear embossing ink then sprinkled on some white embossing powder. Tapped off the excess powder, then melted the embossing powder with my heat tool. Give it a few seconds to cool after heat setting then gently wipe away any remaining anti-static powder with a dry cloth. I embossed a total of 4 envelopes then fussy cut them out leaving a thin black border.
Now to stamp our background! I used some of the dots from the Tiny Dot Clusters stamp set. I stamped the dots using black ink until the entire front panel was covered. I added a thin strip of gold metallic card stock to the edge of the front panel to add a more finished look.
For the sentiment I picked the friendship one from Modern Romance and white heat embossing that onto black card stock. I trimmed it down and adhered that towards the middle of the panel and hanging over the edge of the panel.
I popped up the envelopes using foam tape and adhered them in a wonky style running along the edge of the card base. To finish off this card I added some gold sequins to pull the gold from the card stock strip. I love the way this card turned out! I think this would be great as just a friendship card, a birthday card or even a Galentine’s Day card! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you try it be sure to tag me @theangelscardco 🙂 Have an amazing day, Roadies! xoxo -Lorena
