Hello Roadie friends! Lorena here, with another peek-a-boo style card! I really loved the last one I made and they are super easy to make but add a lot more interest to a regular card! For today’s project I decided to do more embossing and to make it a birthday card. Pull out your Mari Party set and let’s get started!
I cut some black card stock to 3.5″ by 5.5″. I prepped the entire panel using anti-static powder. Next I stamped the one of the Happy Birthday sentiments and the gift bundle using clear embossing ink. I sprinkled over some fine detail gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess, then heat set.
Wait a few seconds for the embossing to cool then wipe away any remaining anti-static powder. Next I cut off 3/4″ off an inch off of the top flap of a white A2 sized card base. Then I picked some fun patterned paper and cut that down to 3/4′ wide and 5.5″ long. I adhered that onto the inside of my card base, right on the edge so it shows to the front of the card.
Now put it all together! I adhered the black embossing panel onto the front of my card base then added a thin strip of gold to the edge to match the gold from my pattern paper on the inside of the card. I sprinkled in a few gold sequins and a fun pink bow onto one of the gifts and called it done! This card was so fast and easy to make but still packs a nice punch! I hope you liked today’s project and if you decide to try it please tag me @theangelscardco. Hope you all have an amazing day! -Lorena
