Art Supplies Card with Ashleigh

April 11, 2020

Hi Roadies!

It’s Ashleigh back on the blog today with a bright card using the Holly Pixels Art Supplies Background stamp – Who doesn’t love rainbows?!

Firstly, take a piece of white cardstock and blend all different colours of ink in rainbow colours. I chose a beautiful pastel combination of Distress Oxides. Once you are happy with your background, dry with a heat tool.

To ensure your embossing powder doesn’t stick where you don’t want it, use a powder tool or anti-static pad all over the background you have just created. Next, using a stamp positioner, line up your background and stamp the Art Supplies Background stamp in black pigment ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder to add some shine and texture.

Now, ink up different parts of the background stamp with each of the different colours of ink. Stamp onto separate pieces of white cardstock and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Fussy cut your chosen images and adhere on top of your background with foam dots. This adds some lovely dimension and interest to the card.

To finish off the card, stamp the sentiment from Modern Romance and foam mount on the card. Of course, with a sentiment like this, you have to add some sequins too!

I hope you loved this card, and I can’t wait to see what you create – It is so much fun to work with different colour combinations too! As always, use my code ASHLEIGH10 on the Ink Road Stamps website to save 10% off your purchase.

Until next time!

– Ashleigh

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this
is fantastic blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.

Hmm is anyone else having problems with the pictures on this blog loading?
I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my
end or if it’s the blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
