I started with stamping and heat embossing my focal image. First I stamped the paint brush from Holly Pixels Art Supplies, then masked it off and stamped the rabbit from Bear and Rabbit. I added gold heat embossed glasses, and white heat embossed fur.
I used liquid watercolors to paint the rabbit, adding harsh shadows for an artsy look. I fussy cut the image, and added craft foam on the back for dimension.
For the background I began by white heat embossing Holly Pixels Art Supplies Background. I thought this background would coordinate nicely with the focal image.
I spritzed the background with water, then dropped in teal liquid watercolor focusing the color in the center.
For a strip of gold along the edges of the background I smeared heat embossing ink onto the sides of my card base, then gold heat embossed with the same embossing powder I used for the rabbit’s glasses.
I combined all the elements together for the completed card, adding a white heat embossed sentiment from Holly Pixels Art Supplies and gold sequins for embellishment.
For the inside I stamped a large sentiment from Crafty Quotes, and added gold and teal washi to bring in some of the color from the card front.
