Koren here today. I am sharing with you a card I made using the NEW As You Wish stamp set. This card turned out beautifully and it is so easy to do. I have actually done cards very similar to this recently. This sentiment was begging for it. It is absolutely beautiful and I just had to do it.
I have acquired this beautiful patterned paper, thats right people, this is patterned paper. It’s made by Sizzix, it’s their watercolor wash adhesive sheets. I didn’t even realize they were adhesive until after I fell madly in love with it. I have to have more of this paper. So I can make more Ink Road cards of course.
I cut a piece to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4 and stuck it to a piece of chipboard the same size. This just gives my paper more strength because we are going to rough it up with a lot of heat. I’m going to apply heavy amounts of Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I coat the edges with large amounts of Versamark ink. Then I dip it into a vat of Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I then heat it with my heat tool until melted. I do this over and over until it looks they way I want it to look. I love this technique.
I also embossed the “as you wish” sentiment across the centered upper portion of my panel, from The Ink Roads “as you wish” stamp set. I then adhered the finished piece to a light gray A2 size card base.
I seriously made my husband and kids watch this movie with me again after several years. If any of you don’t know this sentiment was inspired by The Princess Bride. I remember first seeing this movie in school as a class reward. I still have fond memories of it looking back.
For this version of the card, I did the same things as the card above, only, I changed the color platte and changed a few of the parts. I stamped the castles image from the “as you wish” stamp set with alcohol marker friendly black ink and colored it with a few Copic Markers. I cut it out with my scissors and popped it up onto my card with foam tape.
I stamped the “have fun storming the castle” sentiment, from the same “as you wish” stamp set, onto black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I cut it into a strip and popped it up right under the castle with more foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed my projects for today. I love the “as you wish” stamp set. I can’t wait to share more creative projects with you.
