Hello and Happy New Year Eve! WHOA what a year 2020 has been. I’m sure many people are ready to welcome 2021 with open arms. To say farewell to 2020, I have two cards to share with you today using the Banana Leaf background stamp.
Similar to my last post, I created a background and then used the background to create TWO cards. If you are like me and busy but love to create finding ways to stretch what you are creating is a fun challenge.
I first stamped the background on bristol smooth cardstock with a clear ink so I could emboss the image in gold.
I used a soft tropical color palette. I was inspired by an image on Pinterest for my color palette (shown below). I loved all the pastel coral leaves with the green background.
For the background, I used Catherine Pooler Inks. I smooshed them on a slick surface and painted on the paper (sloppy).
I only used one piece for this and die cut it to create 2 cards! I love being able to create multiple cards with the same background.
Both cards I created are Mini Slimline cards. One of my favorite sizes lately. I created one into a shaker and stamped a sentiment in the inside. While the other I popped up on a white background and added a smaller sentiment.
I adore that background and how these cards turned out. I hope you explore painting with your inks and using a background stamp like this beautiful Banana Leaf background.
I have listed the Ink Road Stamp products used below. As always, feel free to use LACEY10 at checkout for 10% off all your orders.
Thank you so much for stopping today! I hope your 2021 is filled with love, happiness and joy! Happy New Year!
