Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share that I created using the Bella Flora Border stamps. The instant I saw these stamps I envisioned using them to create a border around the outside of a layout. It turned out so much better than I was expecting!
I chose two of the border stamps that had single lines to start. I used my handy-dandy Tim Holtz stamp platform and black StazOn ink to stamp all around the outer edge of the paper. There is one or two areas that didn’t come out perfect but this is not about perfection! If there is one thing I’ve learned about stamping is that you need to let go of the idea that everything needs to be perfect. You do the best you can and cover up the really bad spots!
Next I used my gold gel pen to color in the florals. I used a combination of solid, dots, and lines to fill in the print. This allowed there to be some variation in the design. Then I grabbed my Hello Gorgeous stamp. I covered the hello part of the stamp and directly stamped the gorgeous onto the background. This was very nerve-wracking! I really didn’t want to screw it up! After repeating the stamp twice I used my black marker to fill in the areas that didn’t stamp crisp.
I used my Silhouette and cut out two of the Beautiful Mess wreath cut files out of gold glitter cardstock. This was the base of my photo cluster. I pulled a few sticker sheets from my stash and finished embellishing the layout. To finish the layout, I added my journaling and some gold mist sprinkles.
I have a video for this layout if you’re interested in more details. Don’t forget to use my code DAISIE10 for 10% off your next purchase! If you’re new to the shop click this link for a one time special discount!
