Hello Roadies! Angela here!
I’m so excited to be with you again for another six months term of fun! For this fresh start I decided to go for my preferred type of project, a scrapbook layout. Before jumping onto the description of my project, let me thanks the big boss for the beautiful community she built up and for the gorgeous stamps she constantly creates. Thank you Lara, you are pretty awesome! Now, let’s dive into the layout!
To create the page I started with a white 12″ cardstock and covered it with white gesso. I grabbed one of the beautiful flower bouquets from Bella Flora stamp set and stamped it with VersaMark ink. I heat-embossed with white embossing powder first and then I stamped again, almost over the previous stamps but this time I heat-embossed with light pink powder.
Now the coloring. I combined watercolors and pigment powders. I created a background of pink and orange over the top of the Bella Flora bouquets using watercolors. Then, I sprinkled pigment powder in pink and gold and spritz water to activate the color.
It’s like magic to see how the Bella Flora bouquets pop out of the page. I love it!
The photo I used for my layout is quite big, it’s about 6″ x 4″. I placed it in the center of the page allowing the Bella Flora bouquets picking out. At this point, I felt like I didn’t need much more to finish up the page. I added a few chipboards and a bouquet of paper tulips on the side of the photo.
Since I wanted to drive the attention towards the cute booties of the pic, I framed them into a chipboard piece. Then, I used another chipboard to create my little title. ‘This is true love / You think this happens every day?’ The phrase is from As You Wish Stamps and was just perfect for the photo!
That’s all for today my friends. Thanks for stopping. I hope you liked my layout and feel inspired to create yours with the beautiful and fun Ink Road stamps!
