I combined several stamp sets with an alcohol ink background to create this birthday bear!
I started with an alcohol ink background with gold accents, and cut off the edges because it had fingerprint smears.
I lined the alcohol ink panel up with my card base, and stamped balloons from Mari Party everywhere that would peek through.
I chose a light tan ink so the balloons wouldn’t overpower the alcohol ink background.
For the focal image I stamped the bear from Bear and Rabbit and colored with the same ink I used to stamp the balloons. I did this by smooshing the ink pad onto my glass mat, and picking the ink up with a wet paintbrush. For the outline of the sign I stamped the largest rectangle from Cat With A Sign, and then added a sentiment from Mari Party. I cut a slit up underneath the bear’s arms so the sing would slip in and look like it’s being held.
I adhered the bear and sign using craft foam for dimension.
To finish off the card and add a little extra sparkle I glued sequins to the edges of the sign and background.
I am always needing birthday cards, and I hope this one gave you inspiration!
