Hey Everyone! Welcome back to the ink road blog! Today, I am going to share with you how I created this tag to match my friend’s birthday present! My wish for her is to SOAR even higher and shine brighter on her birthday! Although I don’t have a picture of the birthday present (I didn’t want her to see this :P), I still think I should share with you the process of it!
You’ll need:
- Cardstock
- Scissors/ Paper Trimmer
- Block Party Alphas (Outline) Stamp Set & Just A Number Stamp Set
- Pop dots (Foam Dots)
- Inks and Coloring materials
- Embellishments (Stickers, die cuts, etc.) (Optional)
- Twine
First, you take the Just A Number Stamp Set and stamp out the Balloons on the cardstock. Set a gauge on how large or wide you want your birthday tag to be. For me, I stamped it randomly. Then I took the Block Party Alphas (Outline) Stamp Set and stamped the word “SOAR”. I also added a little word sentiment from the Just A Number Stamp Set to the tag.
I coloured my balloons with a purple Copic marker as the birthday girl loves purple! I decided to colour one in a darker shade of purple so that the balloon will look like its really “pop”-ping out! Foam dots now come in handy too for the pop-out effect! Cut out the tag and add some twine for the last finishing touches 🙂 Lastly, I drew the squiggles to represent the “tails” of the balloons. You can do this randomly.
And we are done! 🙂
A simple tag to add to your gift or you could even create it like a bookmark !!! Don’t you think it’s awesome how many uses a tag can have? 🙂 Have fun creating !
