Hi friends! It’s Angela here, back on the blog with the ‘black and white or colorful?’ series. Today I would like to share with you a couple of cards featuring Blended stamp set.
As you can see from the pic, this time the question is more like ‘black or white?’ because the main difference between the two cards are the card bases I chose. The design of the first card in fact, is stamped on white cardstock while the other is on black.
For both the cards, I started creating the background using the low poly heart from Blended stamp set. I stamped it with Versamark Ink. Then, I embossed with white embossing powder on the first white card and with gold embossing powder on the black card.
I colored the hearts of the white card with watercolor in a yellow-pink palette. On the contrary, I left the hearts of the black card empty except for one that I colored in gold and fussy cut to embellish the card.
For both, I stamped the sentiments on a strip of vellum, choosing a contrasting color to make them pop: gold embossing on the white card and white embossing powder on the black one.
The final touch for me is always adding some gems because I love the brightness they gives to the project. No contrast this time. I went for Shikira Gold gems on the black an gold card and Lynnea Rainbow gems on the white one.
Thank you so much for stopping by my dear Roadies. I hope you liked the project and I’d really like to know what’s your preferred card. So let me know in the comment below!
