Hello Roadies! I have a Mother’s Day card to share with ya’ll today. I used several Ink Road Sets for this beauty…a total of 4! Let’s get started!
I started by stamping the floral borders from the Days-e Phrases set using alcohol marker friendly ink. I colored them in using some alcohol markers then fussy cut them out leaving a thin white border.
Next I prepped a strip of vellum with anti-static powder and stamped MOM using the Block Party Alpha Outline letters and some clear embossing ink. I sprinkled on white embossing powder and tapped off the excess before heat setting.
Once the embossing was cooled off I flipped the vellum over and colored in the letters. I used a red and pink alcohol marker for an ombre effect.
Now to create a background for the card I did some ink blending using shades of blue. I started off at the bottom and worked my way up. I left the very top completely white. I wanted a very soft ombre blend.
I trimmed down the panel and added some water splatter for some texture. I glued the floral borders onto the vellum and then popped it all up using foam tape.
I glued down the floral piece towards the middle of the panel and added some sparkle to the flowers with a liquid shimmer pen. For my gems I decided to added some clear gems. I used the flat back Gina Clear Bubbles. These look so cool with the blue ink back drop. They have that water droplet look.
Moving on to the inside of the card, I stamped the gorgeous DAYS-E Bouquet. I lined it up in my stamp platform and stamped using the same blue inks in an ombre effect.
Next I stamped the gorgeous Happy Mother’s Day script stamp using black ink. (This stamp is retiring so be sure to grab it before it’s gone! Use LORENA10 for an extra discount. ;)) That finishes off the inside of my Mother’s Day card.
I love the way these gorgeous florals pop off that background! Thanks for stopping by, I hope ya’ll loved this card. -Lorena
