I just got this super cute new Basics: Rainbow set, and wanted to create a Christmas card inspired by the trendy boho style I see everywhere. I combined it with Fir Real and Happy Holla Days for this little scene.
I started by stamping and fussy cutting this image from Basics: Rainbow Builder. I stamped the inside layers with different shades of muted red and green, then gold heat embossed the outer dotted layer.
For the tree background I traced where I wanted the rainbow to be and stamped this tree from Fir Real around it in different shades of green and tan. I masked off the bottom with tape and ink blended the lightest green color. I made sure to erase my traced rainbow.
I used no line coloring ink to stamp snow flakes from Happy Holla Days for a subtle snowy background. Not pictured: I splattered gold shimmer paint across the background, and painted it on top of the trees to make them shine.
I used strong double sided tape to create a strip of twine, and adhered it in between the green ink blending and tree scene.
I used foam tape to adhere the rainbow and a heat embossed sentiment from Happy Holla Days. Here you can see the gold shimmer shining in the sun!
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at a boho style christmas card. I can’t wait to use this rainbow on more kinds of cards. If you are interested in these products, or anything else at Ink Road Stamps, you can use BECCA10 for 10% off of your order.
