I’m back on the blog today with this bold and bright card I made with the Lightbox stamp set. It’s a fun one, and super simple card to make with alcohol inks!
Start with a piece of Yupo paper cut to size, and drop your first colour of alcohol ink down. Add some blending solution, and use either a straw or air blower to move the ink around. I focused my colour in the centre of the paper. Keep adding colours, and blending solution, and move the ink around until you are happy with the final result. I used a combination of yellow, orange and grey inks for mine. Once complete, leave aside to dry completely – Make sure you don’t use a heat tool, as it will melt the Yupo!
Once your background is complete, align your piece into a stamp positioner and lay down the stamp in the centre. Ink the stamp up really well with a solvent ink – I used Staz On – to make sure it dries and does not smear. Repeat stamp until you have even coverage for the sentiment, making sure the background piece does not move between impressions. Leave aside to dry completely.
To finish off the card, adhere the background piece onto some black cardstock, and then onto your card base. I completed the card by adding some now retired Gina clear bubbles.
I hope you enjoyed this card, and make sure you use ASHLEIGH10 at the checkout to save some dollars!
