Angela here with a brand new project featuring This Stamp Is Bananas stamp set.
Do you know that you can create your own layered stamp using just one normal stamp?
This technique is particularly indicated with icons and shapes, like the fruits of this set and only with clear stamps. At least, I’ve never tried with rubber stamps, also because they are usually mounted on wood blocks.
It’s a very simple technique to create a layer underneath the main/proper stamp or a shadow. What you need to do is just to stamp first using the back of the stamp!
Like in layered stamps, it is suggested to use a light shade of color for the base, in this case the reverse side of the stamp and a darkest color on top.
It works very well with different colors and with same colors too. As you can see in my second two examples, I have used two shades of gray to build the layer. And voilà, simple and effective!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you liked my clean and simple cards and found interesting this little brief tutorial. Happy stamping!
