Hey all! Welcome back to another crafty, bloggy day. Carol here from Scraps & Ink with a really simple sentiment card, decorated with alcohol ink squares.
Today, I will be featuring the Bendy Sentiments from this month’s latest release. Before I jump in, if you haven’t already, head on over to Facebook to join the Roadies Chat! If you feel inspired, you may use code CAROL10 when shopping to save 10% on your order!
For this card, I started with an alcohol inked yupo paper. In all honesty, I was planning on using the background for something else entirely. When it didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped, (First timer, here!) I decided to cut into it and “scrap” it that way.
I used the squares from Lacy’s DIY Window Dies I love these dies because they have different sizes for different purposes. AND! There’s three square dies, so less time at the cutting machine! (wiiinnnnn).
I cut the top panel down by 1/4″ all around, just for added interest since it’s such a basic card. I stamped the Happy Birthday Bendy sentiment in three different, but coordinating colors. Unfortunately, my two year old decided it would be fun to practice her art on my card, so there’s a little extra “love” on it. But I think it adds a little character.
As a finishing touch, because it was feeling a little too “clean and simple”, I added some dollar embellishments I got at the craft store. (best. Things. EVER).
That’s it from me today, folks! I hope you enjoyed this card.
