I started by stamping this fireplace from the Advent Calendar (Day 1) onto bristol smooth paper using waterproof ink. I water colored using Arteza real brush pens, blending the colors with a wet paint brush. I though it needed something special, so I added metallic gold accents with Gansai Tambi starry colors watercolor.
To create the chimney I used a ruler and black waterproof pen to draw two straight vertical lines. I colored it the same way as the fireplace.
I gold heat embossed the bold Merry Christmas stamp from Holiday Sentiments onto textured navy blue cardstock. I colored in the gaps in the letters with white gel pen.
When assembling the card I glued the chimney flat onto the background, then used craft foam to pop the fireplace up on top. You can see all of the gold shine in this picture!
I have loved experimenting with different styles of Christmas cards this year, but its always fun to throw it back to the classic. If you’re interested in these products, or anything else at Ink Road Stamps, you can use BECCA10 for 10% off of your order. Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!
