Hello dear crafty friends! It’s Angela back on IRS blog with a classic and stylish card I made with Mermaid Bundle stamp.
I’m that kind of person who’s always looking for something new, new techniques, new color combinations, new designs. This time, I really wanted to try an elegant style of card and Mermaid stamp was perfect for the idea I had in mind.
I thought that gold rose embossing powder was perfect for the heart and for the classic font of the word Mermaid. For the card base I used one of my preferred color, vanilla. I took a piece of vanilla cardstock and I decided for a square card size of 4 inches.
I stamped the sentiment right in the center of the card and I heat embossed it with gold rose embossing powder by Avery Elle.
To give a romantic look I added a stripe of vellum punched like an a lace all around.
Then, I die cut 3 square frames of half inch smaller of the card and glued them together, one over the other. I daubed the outside edges with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with the same gold rose.
TIP: I suggest you to well scatter antistatic powder all over the card, especially on vellum and on the parts of cardstosck with glue.
Look, isn’t the shimmery heart gorgeous? I adore it!
As a final touch, I added a few sequins in pale rose and voilà, the card is done!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you liked my project and this type of Clean and Stylish card. See you soon with another project next week.
Love,
NG
