One of my most favorite times of years is the Christmas Holiday’s. I love watching Hallmark movies 24/7, it is Nutcracker season for the ballet company, and as much as I don’t cold weather, the snow is beautiful.
Today I’m sharing a card I created using the Happy Holla Days stamp set. I actually started this card by pulling out some colorful Catherine Pooler Inks and thought the snowflakes would look lovely in them.
Each snowflake on the stamp set was stamped in a different color Catherine Pooler Ink. The colors I choose are: Limoncello, Lime Rickey, Aquatini, Be Mine, Royal Treatment, and Coral Cabana.
Next, I pondered for quite some time as to what image I would feature. Eventually I settled on the Santa image. I stamped him in Gina K Black Amalgam ink. Using the Lawn Fawn – Say What? Gift Tag die, I cut the tag out with the stamped Santa.
I used Copic Markers in YG05, YG09, RV23, and R24 to color the Santa in with simple coloring. Using the outer framed tag from Lawn Fawn, I cut this from white fun foam and from Doodlebug Lily White Glitter Paper. This will frame out the tag and the fun foam will add dimension.
I die cut the outer frame a second time with Lawn Fawn wood grain paper in a teal color to add a sentiment.
The snowflakes are so beautiful, I didn’t want to cover them up. Instead I die cut a piece of vellum using the Mama Elephant Peek a Frame die. I adhered this to the card using Lawn Fawn glue tube in the center where the tag will cover up the glue area.
Before adhering the tag cluster, I stamped the greeting inside the card using Catherine Pooler Inks in Lime Rickey and Aquitini, letting them cross each other to make a gradient.
Next, I adhered the tags to the front of the card. I used foam adhesive to pop up the full snowflake panel to an A2 card base.
The sparkle and bright colors make me so happy. Thank you so much for joining me today for another card tutorial. Don’t forget to check out the newest Ink Road Stamps release. Use my discount code LACEY10 at checkout for 10% off. #createfreely
