It’s Angela here and I have a couple of fun projects to share with you today. I used the gorgeous Daisie Background stamp to create the card that will go with a gift for a friend of mine. Daisie Background stamp, designed by dt member Daisie Hanson aka Daisies Scrap comes from a gorgeous card set background. She made it gathering several floral stamps by The Ink Road that our boss Lara turned into a stamp. How awesome is that?! You can find Daisie’s original post here.
This is my version of the card. As I wrote, it’s a card that will go with a gift for a friend of mine and my friend loves pink. So, I went for a pink card base and I white embossed the stamp to keep a soft look.
To embellish the card I added a few flowers from Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp. I stamped and heat embossed in white the flowers on a pink cardstock slightly darker than the card base. I fussy cut the flowers by hand using scissors but, if you don’t like fussy cutting or you’re in a massive production, keep in mind that Ink Road provides also the cut file for this set, as well as for many others.
Opposite the flowers, along the sentiment, I added a little heart and to finish the card I glued some Flat Back Bubbles to give a little sparkle to the card.
As you can see, the card is square and it measures 3″ 3/4. On the background of the photo is the my handmade gift, made out of a metal hanger. It’s a wreath of felt flowers that I made for my friend’s lab.
Last pic of the post is about the packaging. I recycled the beautiful paper that Lara sent me with my dt box and I put it in a upside down pizza box, just the perfect size for the wreath! Do you like it?
That’s all for today, I hope you liked my projects. Thank you for stopping by and I’ll see you soon!
