Hello crafty friends,
Today I’m going to share a card using the Ink Road Stamps Daisy Alphabet. This card created a bright spot in my day with the rainbow colors and beautiful Ink Road gems.
First, I took out my Faber Castell Gelatos in Lemon, Bubble Gum, Raspberry, Blueberry, Lime, Silver Ice, and Black Licorice. At this stage I just know I wanted to create a rainbow of color. I scribbled the colors on Bristol smooth card stock. At this stage it looks a little messy, but we’ll get it to smooth out.
To get the color moving, I sprayed water on the colors after I added the yellow and black, then spread the color around with my finger.
I aired dried the paper for the most part and then came in with a heat gun to finish drying the gelatos.
Next, it is time for the greeting. I pulled out a few of the Ink Road Alphabet stamp options, but decided on the Daisy Alpha. I stamped this onto the gelato background in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder.
Next, I trimmed down this piece and added it to a piece of Lawn Fawn Really Rainbows pattern paper, which matched so well with the yellow in the background. I then mounded this whole piece using foam tape onto a white card base.
To finish the card, I added Ink Road Stamps Gems with colors that match the various areas of the gelato colors.
I love how this card turned out. I’m a sucker for rainbows and I love how Ink Road carries these gems, pearls and babbles in so many beautiful colors.
Thanks for stopping by today! #createfreely
