I have a pretty card to share with you, using the gorgeous DAYS_E Heart set.
I first started with a piece of white cardstock, and stamped the heart image with black pigment ink. Heat emboss your image with clear embossing powder to give it a lovely glossy effect.
I used my watercolour markers to do some rough colouring of the image – The heat embossing helps the ink to stay within the image and not spread into other areas. I did not colour perfectly, and instead wanted more of a random, watercolour effect.
Once the image was coloured and dried, I ink blended some purple ink to the right hand side of the cardstock. This just gives the card a little more interest, with only a subtle effect.
To finish the card, stamp the sentiment with black ink, and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Adhere this onto the background with foam tape. Adhere your background piece onto black cardstock, and then onto your card base. I also added some pink gems randomly to tie it all together and finish off the card.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and it has inspired you to pull out your Dayse Heart set!
