Hey guys! It’s Amanda back again with a spooky card!
It’s hard to believe it’s almost Fall! Personally, I am NOT ready yet.. but I do love Halloween cards!!
This cute card uses the Boo Crew stamp set! Keep reading to see how I made this card.. or go purchase this stamp set first and then come right back!! 🙂
I started with creating my frame for the forefront. I did this first so that I could see where I’d want to place my moon.
I quickly cut out some grass with black card stock.
I used masking paper to cut out a circle.
I placed my circle mask where I wanted my moon to be.
I blended a background using “twisted citron”, “mowed lawn”, “hickory smoke” and “black soot”.
I used some white “picket fence” re-inker to flick “stars” using a paintbrush and water.
Using YG000, YG21, and YG23, I created an outline on my moon.
I colored the inside of my moon with C00 and C0.
Using my Boo Crew stamp set, I made 3 ghosts and 2 bats. I love the little face choices for the ghosts!
Using my PixScan mat for my Silhouette Cameo, I traced and offset my stamped images. Then, I cut them out using my Cameo machine.
I colored in my stamped images using my Copics.
I stamped my sentiments, using a Creative Corner L Ruler and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped a couple more bats for my background.
Now, it’s time to start putting the card together! I adhered the grass first, using 3D foam strips.
I used the same adhesive for the frame (except where it would be on top of the grass – I used flat adhesive there.)
I used glue for the bats and foam squares for the ghosts.
For the final touch, I put a cute little Shelley bow on one of my ghosts. I also glued a few Aurora Deluxe Gems and Angie Rainbow Gems.
Here are some closeups!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Have fun making your Halloween cards! 🙂
Xoxo, Amanda
