I’m back with one of my favorite Ink Road stamp sets, Days-e Bouquet! I hope you aren’t sick of it yet! I am doing a two-for-one technique where two cards get created at once.
I started with two card fronts, 4″x 5 1/4″. I left one white, and on the other I ink blended with Distress Oxide inks in squeezed lemonade, worn lipstick, and shaded lilac.
On each of these panels I heat embossed Days-e bouquet in Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used a stamp positioner to make sure the image is in the exact same place on each panel.
Now comes the scary part, I put the panels in my paper cutter and chopped them up! Then I switched the middle pieces.
I wanted a border to match the embossed bouquet image, so I pressed my embossing ink onto the card bases and heat embossed around the edges.
I adhered the bouquets with the middle piece popped up on craft foam for dimension.
For the focal point and sentiment I added a vellum heart and Happy Easter sentiment. As a finishing touch I adhered a sprinkling of my namesake flat back half gems in Becca Ice! They are a clear iridescent gem that shines perfectly with the soft springy colors of these cards.
