Hello Samantha here, sharing my first card for this lovely month of October! It’s been a previous habit of mine to leave all things Christmas related to the very last minute! This year however, I’ve changed this habit and I’ve manage to put time aside to create a fun – slightly out of the box Christmas themed card!

For this card I’ve used Block Party Alphas + Outline stamp sets to customise the sentiment. I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before but alphabet stamps are a must have in any stamp collection – I wouldn’t have been able to find the right sentiment for this card otherwise…
The dinosaur is a silhouette cameo cut – I don’t think I had plans to use it on a Christmas card it’s just one of those themes that seems to build up (in your collection) when you have two boys who love all things dinosaur related. But I’m glad I was able to use it and create this funny Christmas card.
Of course I’ve added machine stitched details and embellished the card with enamel dots and twine. You may have also noticed I’ve used the stamp set Between The Lines to add detail to the dinosaur – why not!? Small background stamps such as this are perfect for creating accents and highlighting areas. With a little bit of masking my dinosaur has funky black scales on its back!
