Hello Ink Roadies! For our feature Friday today we are going to play with one of my favorite little 3×4 sets ever, Call me Maybe!
Once again our team did an amazing job using this set so let’s go straight into their projects.
Since Valentine’s will be here before we know it, I wanted to make my bestie a quick Galentine’s Day card. “When I get 2 texts at the same time, I always check yours first.” says everything about us becuase it’s so true.
The background was super easy and fun to create just using a plastic ziploc bag coloring with water-based markers, adding some extra water, and then I just pressed the face of the card in the colors. Then let dry. It was really easy and makes for an interesting backgroud for the stamps and sequins.
Today’s card was inspired by the stamp itself! Hearts and speech bubbles… The last card I created using this stamp I played around with the images in this set – so this time I decided to use the sentiments and create a fun bright coloured card with a bit of contrast.
I first used some silhouette cut files (speech/heart bubbles) and cut them on black card. I then placed them on my card front and used them to mark out (in pencil) the areas I needed to stamp as well as where the hearts would be. Before I adhered the speech bubbles, I used some masking paper and blended ink between the areas I marked for the hearts. I also stamped the sentiments. I finished the card off with some black twine and enamel dots.
