Firstly, align your Subway Art background stamp into your stamp press. Ink it up with embossing ink and stamp onto your background piece. Sprinkle white super-fine detail embossing powder and heat set.
Next, take some ink and a blending brush and completely colour your background piece. I put more layers of ink on the top section, and lightened my touch as I worked towards the bottom of the piece. If you are using a water reactive ink, you may also like to spritz some water droplets on the background and remove the excess water with a paper towel to add some cool effects. Wipe off any excess ink from the embossed areas with a paper towel – This will return them to bright white.
Once you have completed the background, stamp your INKED girl onto the cardstock of your choice – I used Copic markers to colour her in, so made sure I stamped onto Copic friendly cardstock. Once coloured, fussy cut your image.
To finish off the card, adhere your INKED girl with foam tape. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock with black ink, and heat emboss if you choose. Adhere the background onto black cardstock and then onto your card base. To embellish the card, add some clear glass domes.
I hope you liked this card, and helps you get into the Christmas in July festive spirit!
