Hi Roadies! I’ve officially entered the Christmas mood!
It’s Angela here and even if it is only October, I want to get ready for Christmas because there are so many things to do, handmade gifts, ornaments and of course cards!. So, little by little, I’ve started making cards. Here is my first fun one with Fleece Navidad stamps part of the last Ink Road Q3 Release.
As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted to create a pop-up card. This fun Christmas tree made of a stack of sheep was just perfect for the job!
I started creating the background with Distress Oxides in two shades of blue, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I spritzed some water and then gold and white ink droplets to achieve a night sky look. To give even more brightness to the card, I sticked some gold gems, the Shikira Gold Gems.
To create the pop-up support, I made two cuts, perpendicular to the crease of the card. Then, I folded it in the reverse direction of the card. It’s more difficult to explain it in words than to make it, believe me!
The final step is to adhere the tree of sheeps. I stamped it with Versamark Ink and heat-embossed with gold powder. I fussy cut the tree with scissors and sticked a little part of the tree base on the folded piece of the card.
To complete the card I added the fun sentiment part the same stamp Fleece Navidad!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you liked the card and I’ll see you soon here!
