Hello everyone! Daisie here with something a little different. Today I am sharing a card set that I created using a background that I made using florals from 4 different sets of stamps. These cards will make for a perfect gift for my friend who likes to handwrite notes.
To create the background, I used the Majestic AF, Chin Up Buttercup, Hello Gorgeous, and the Bloom Where You Are Planted sets to fill in an 8.5×12 piece of cardstock. I used Jet Black Archival Ink to ensure that the stamping would be permanent if I decided to do some watercoloring in the future. I then cut down the stamped pieces to a 4.25×4.25 inch square pieces.
Next, I made some card bases. These bases are cut to create a 4.5×4.5 inch square once folded. I used some kraft cardstock from the Cardstock Warehouse. It’s a heavy cardstock that folds really well and holds up to handling. It also smooth and handles stamping well.
To finish the cards, I added the card faces to the bases. I used a strong adhesive to attach them. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Majestic AF stamp set in the card. With that the card set it finished! Wrap the cards with some twine and a glassine bag and you have a great gift!
