How are you all this week? It’s Simone here with you today to share some fun foiled cards!
Have you had a chance to get a hold of the new release stamp sets before some sold out? If you have, then I have a super cool technique to show you which only takes your stamps, hot foil and a Minc Machine or laminator.
I wanted to create some really cute but CAS style notecards, as CAS is definitely my style of choice, so I decided to foil some cards to make them stand out.
I decided to play with the brand new Fur Babies and Bork stamp sets to create two cute notecards that are perfect for puppy lovers and coffee lovers out there. I also used the coffee mug from the Modern Romance stamp set to complete the Coffee & Canines card.
To create both cards I first stamped the images and sentiments onto my card base using some Magic Medium by Heidi Swapp. I have found this works best with me for foiling stamped images but really its trial and error until you find a technique that works for you.
I squeezed some of the magic medium onto some plain stamp pad foam I found in my stamp room and used that to ink the cards up. After letting it go tacky a little I then put my foil onto the top of the images and sentiment. For the Fur Real card I used silver heat foil and for the Coffee & Canines card I used a rose gold foil.
I then ran the cards through my Mini Minc Machine, using heat setting number 4.
This technique has definitely got me wanting to play with foil a lot more now! I hope this inspires you to break out your new stamps and get heat foiling.
Thank you so much for joining me today, see you all again soon!
