Friendship cards for Valentines day by Farhana

February 11, 2020

Hi all! Welcome to my first DT post (EVER!! AHHH!!). I’m so excited to be able to share my creativity with all of you and hopefully inspire you to take a little time out of your day to create!

With valentines day only days away, I thought that I would share a quick and easy idea to create galentines cards for your girlfriends. I made an easy and easier version! Let me know in the comments which one you like better!

For the first card, I started with a A2 white cardstock sheet, stamped and embossed the Art Supplies Background with white embossing powder. Then I used 5 ink colors to create an ink blended rainbow (two of my favourite things are ink blending and embossing, as you will see over time!). Then I made sure to wipe paper to let the white embossing pop again! For the sentiment I used one from Modern Romance, embossed in gold on black card stock. I trimmed down the cardstock and adhered it with some foam tape. Lastly I trimmed the ink blended panel down to let the black card peak out on the sides, and adhered it down.

For the second card, I used the same Art Supplies Background, this time embossed in gold on black card stock, and the sentiment from Modern Romance, also embossed in gold but on white. I love to rainbow all things, and since I had my supplies out, I decided to ink blend the sentiment strip, along with two thin strips of paper to add behind the main panel in black. Adhered it all together, adding a little foam tape to the sentiment for dimension and you are all done!

I hope that you are inspired to create something for someone special in your life! Please follow and tag me on instagram @everydayengineered if you create something similar! And if you are shopping don’t forget to use my code FARHANA10 for 10% your purchase and keep coming back to this blog to see what the other DT members are creating for Valentines day!

Stay crafty,

Farhana
