Full Circle Scrapbook Layout

April 24, 2019

Hi everyone!  I decided to use one of my favorite stamp set for this layout, Full Circle.  I love this stamps set but if you know me,  I struggle to use circles.  So I decided to face my fears and go for it!

To start, I gessoed my white cardstock.  I knew I wanted to add some mixed media to this so I need the gesso.  Once that was dry, I started stamping.  I used StazOn black ink because I was planning to add water and didn’t want the ink to run.  I put 5 stamps on one block and stamped it as many times as I could in the area I wanted the stamps in.  I then came in with the individual circles to fill in the empty or sparse areas.

Next, I used my Distress Oxide inks and some water to splatter all over the stamped area.  I used 3 colors (Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, and Cracked Pistachio) that went with the color scheme I was planning on using.  I waited for each color to dry before splattering the next color because I didn’t want them to run together and get muddy. Then, I added some embellishments from Amy Tangerine and backed my photos with a piece of Shine On paper.  I finished by adding some of the Rachel Black Pearls to add some sparkle and some journaling.

There is a YouTube video up for this layout if you are interested in seeing the whole process. Don’t forget to use my code DAISIE10 for 10% off your next purchase!  If you’re new to the shop click this link for a one time special discount!
