I don’t use pattern paper as much as I should – it’s one of those crafting items though, that seems to have multiplied over the years and is now collecting dust in my “too pretty to use” crafting supplies pile! So today’s card I made an effort to use some of this paper in attempt to rekindle my love (and use) of pattern paper…
Here is my card:
Honestly – I really didn’t put much of a dent in my pattern paper supplies but I do love the look of the crisp black stamped circles against the patterns in the paper. This is also a great example of how to use any paper you may have (in another pile) of left over paper that (if you’re like me) can’t seem to throw out either!
A simple card really – I’ve added step by step instruction below for those who wish to create a card like this using the Full Circle stamp set.
Step 1: Die-cut 9 small circles. Measurement: 1.25″ Diameter
Step 2: Using black ink stamp a few of the full circle stamps.
Step 3: Adhere these to your (white) card front (large rectangle die-cut 4.25″ x 5.5″). Trim.
Step 4: For added interest add machine stiched lines. (optional)
Step 5: Heat emboss (in white) the sentiment(s) on black cardstock. Adhere this to card front using foam tape.
Step 6: Adhere to a white card base slightly larger then the measurements provided in step 3.
Step 6: Embellish with a bow and star. Adhere sequins.
Hope you enjoyed my card today and give this idea a try. Full Circle is one of my favourite Ink Road Stamps so don’t be too surprised when I use this set again to create another awesome card that plays with patterns within patterns…
