Hello, hello! Samantha Ziegenfuss here; fully caffeinated and ready to snark! Mug Life was one of the first Ink Road Stamps stamp sets I owned. I will never forget the absolute joy I felt the first time I made cards with it.
I’m very happy to be recreating a bit of that feeling here today.
To begin I took a piece of coffee themed patterned paper cut to 4″ x 5.5″and adhered it to a black A2 sized card. If this paper wasn’t meant to go with the Mug Life set I don’t know what is.
I stamped, colored, and fussy cut one of the mugs from the stamp set; doing simple paper piecing as well as adding a dimensional glaze to the lid of the mug.
I inked the “I don’t know what I’d do without coffee” sentiment with sticky embossing ink, stamped it to a strip of black cardstock, and heat set it with white embossing powder. I glued the sentiment strip to the center of the lower third of my card.
I adhered my coffee mug to a basic circle and glued that to the top center of my card. After using a white gel pen to add faux stitched detailing to the circle I added three Flat Back Half Beads in Stephanie Onyx to the card to tie it all together.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I cannot wait to see what you were inspired to create. Head on over to the Roadies Facebook group if you aren’t already a member and be sure to use code COYKOI10 to save 10% off of your next order.
Until next time,
