The sentiment on my cards today makes me LAUGH. I identity with it SO much. When I was pregnant with both my kids, anytime we suggested a potential baby name to the grandmas their faces would slighty squish up and we’d get, “Oh really? You like that name? I knew a —- once.” And it was clear they didn’t really like whoever’s name they had said. *Insert eye roll* That’s when we stopped telling them our baby name ideas lol!! I had to use that amazing sentiment from Spork on my cards today.
I created two cards for today, both using patterned papers and the same layout. There is a reason I always keeps scraps of designer paper around, and it is for cards like these, where I can mix and match! The process for both cards was the same. I selected and trimmed patterned papers and adhered them to a A2 white card base. The sentiment was stamped in black Verafine ink and heat embossed with clear powder on cardstock. I did the same thing with the baby image, only I coloured it in using Copic markers, fussy cut it, then adhered it using foam tape.
There you have it! Two easy cards using scraps from your stash. Don’t have patterned paper? Create some of your own using teeny images from various stamp sets found in the Ink Road Store. Check out some of the amazing projects on the blog using Spork!
