Hello everyone! Today I have a video game layout inspired by the Boymom stamp set. Every year Santa gets our family a new video game. Then we sit around as a family and play. It’s some of the best times! I was super excited to see the controller on this stamp set because it fits my family so well!
To start, I repeat stamped the controller onto some strips of rainbow cardstock. I used Staz-On ink because I was using a stamp block and so I wanted to make sure that I would have a crisp image in as few re-stamps as possible. I find that with Staz-On you get pretty great coverage without having to go over the stamp multiple times.
Next I pulled out some white cardstock. I used the strips of paper and drew some pencil lines so that I could continue the controller stamping onto the background. I used the same ink and finished the stamping. When I was finished, I erased the pencil lines and adhered the paper strips.
I used some small scraps of the cardstock and stamped a single controller on each color. Then I fussy cut them out. I used my Glossy Accents and covered each of the controllers. I let them sit for about an hour to make sure they were dry before I put them on the page. While I was waiting I got my title and photos ready.
I printed the photos in black and white because the colors were bad in the photo. The pictures show my family sitting and playing surrounded in the mess of our house. But they show our day-to-day life. I backed the photos with some gray pattern paper to help them stand out a little. Then I added the extra controllers. I popped them up on some craft foam to make them stand out a bit more. They made the perfect embellishments and were so simple to make!
I have a YouTube video showing my process in more detail. Please check it out!
