Hi everyone! Angela here! I have a couple of colorful cards to show you featuring the Whatever stamp. No black and white version this time even if I was planning to do it. If you look carefully, I made an attempt. On the first card, I stamped the word Whatever in multicolor while on the second I stamped it in black. In the end my love for colors won and I colored both the backgrounds of the cards.
I love so much the big bold sentiment that I decided to use it combined with other stamp sets and with two different techniques. On the first card I stamped the Whatever in a rainbow palette of colors using Distress Inks. Then, I sprizzed a bit of water on the stamp and stamped on the paper. This is a fun technique that gives a beautiful watercolor effect. Below, I added the phrase ‘You’re simply craftastic’ from I Arted stamps, embossed in black.
Using the same Distress Inks as before, I colored the background of splatters all around the sentiment and when dry, I adhered the card on a piece of black cardstock of a slightly bigger size.
The second card has the same colors scheme. To color the background I used the wet on wet technique. Basically, you have to wet the paper with clear water first. Then, you add the colors to the water with the tip of a brush.
To complete the sentiment I added the ‘You Wish’ phrase from As You Wish stamps. I stamped it with gold embossing powder and I managed not to stamp the ‘as’ just coveting the paper with a piece of masking tape.
As a finishing touch, I added my preferred gems, the Linnea Rainbow Gems. I little bit of sparkle is always a good choice!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked the cards and feel inspired somehow to create with us an the fun Ink Road Stamps!
