Kimberly Wiener with you today. These sweet peaches are full and ripe and remind me of that song “Peaches” by The Presidents of the United States. I LOVE the thickness of the lines, makes watercoloring a joy!
I inked peaches from the “This Stamp is Bananas Stamp Set” randomly on a 4.2 x 5.25 panel in Versafine Black Onyx. My “go to” medium right now is using KOI waterbrushes with an aquabrush for blending. The bright colors are so lovely! I can achieve a truer watercolor look, or I can blend completely for a marker look. The versatility is just amazing. My secret…I buy Canson Illustration paper when its buy one get one free! Canson Watercolor paper works, though I really say that the Illustration is the best at blending, and I’ve put alot of paper to the test.
The “This Stamp is Bananas Stamp Set” has a ton of punny sentiments that are perfect for layouts, planners, recipe cards, tags, travel journals, and cards! Anything really. I would definitely use on for a sticker on a jam jar (My sister and I trade jams, she really wins the contest at making jam, I only make it rarely now). This set is perfect for gift giving! (…hint …hint….I need more JAM!!!!!) I can’t get enough Jam. My favorite, Strawberry Rhubarb…
The “You’ve got a peach of my heart” sentiment is sweetly placed with a black layer and added slightly off center. I layered the panel onto black cardstock as well. I really do love these sweet peaches! If you haven’t seen the newest release sets, go check them out here!
