Hey everyone! Natalie here today to share a monochromatic green layout where I used my Ink Road Stamps to create a mixed media page.
For this layout I chose a single green ink color a & used the “package technique” a la Missy Whidden. Then I used the same color to stamp patterns with some IRS stamps I felt reflected the little cuddle bug brothers in the photo.
I chose the crown and mustache from Meow Mix, as well as the ampersand from Block Party Alpha – Outline and a heart from Full Circle.
I inked the stamps and stamped multiple times before re-inking. I stamped them randomly following the splatter pattern from my packaging technique.
I added black splatters, since most projects need a touch of black & it complimented the b&w photo.
I chose three different hearts from the Blended stamp set and embossed them in green. Then I fussy cut the hearts, used an exacto knife to cut out some of the geometric bits of the largest heart, and adhered them all with foam dots for dimension.
A few sequins and rhinestones finish of the page with a few paper layers behind my photo!
It was fun using the same ink color through out the entire page, yet simple to create different looks by stamping more than once before re-inking. I hope you will try some similar techniques with your own mixed media projects!
Thanks for being here, friends!
