Hello, crafty friends! I’m Rubeena from A Rare Ruby – super excited to be a guest for Ink Road Stamps! I love Lara and am honored to share my creativity with you using her shop’s products. I created two cards for today with a focus on my favorite set, Bella Flora.
There are so many ways you can use this gorgeous set. Florals are my favorite images to color, and for my cards, I chose to use my favorite coloring mediums.
For my first card, I stamped the images onto white cardstock with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink since it is Copic-friendly. I colored them with Copic markers in shades of pink, yellow, green, and blue-violet.
I added in details with a white gel pen to make the images pop.
I fussy cut the images and mounted them to a folded size-A2 white cardbase (4.25″ x 5.5″) with foam tape for dimension.
I stamped the sentiment ‘hello’ with VersaMark Embossing Ink on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I fussy cut it and placed it between the images.
For my second card, I wanted to try watercoloring. I stamped three of the floral images with a light-colored ink on watercolor paper so I can do some no-line coloring. I used my Daniel Smith Ultrafine watercolors and a size 2 watercolor brush to color.
Once they dried, I fussy cut them and added white and black paint splatters. I arranged them over a black cardbase with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from #beautifulmess with VersaMark on black cardstock and heat embossed in white. I trimmed it down and mounted it over the floral images with foam tape. These two cards show my signature style when I create. If you’re a fan, I’d love for you to follow me at A Rare Ruby or Instagram, where I share so much inspiration every week! Thank you so much to Ink Road Stamps for featuring me and for everyone else who stops by! Have a fabulous crafty week!
