It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s Hallmark Christmas movie time. The Hallmark Channel is on 24/7 at my house during this time of year and I can’t wait to see the new movies. This travelers notebook layout features one of those Christmas Holiday movie moments.
I started out my Travelers Notebook spread with two sheets of 4.25″ x 8.25″ Bristol Smooth card stock. With Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in Evergreen Bough, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire, I blended out a background.
Next, I sprinkled some water onto the background and dapped it up with a paper towel to lift the link. I stamped Ink Road Stamps: Happy Holla Days snowflakes on the background with Versmark Ink and Brutus Monroe Rainbow Sparkle embossing powder. It adds the perfect subtle sparkle to the background.
I then grabbed a piece of Doodlebug sparkly paper and free handed a snow hill. I adhered this to the bottom of the spread.
With the Ink Road Stamps: Fir Real set, I stamped the tress on the snow line with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. I adore the whimsical and playful feeling of these trees.
Next I pulled out my Ink Road Stamps: Are You Serious Clark? stamp set. I first stamped the tree while masking off the car. I used Catherine Pooler Inks in Mint To Be and Mardi Gras for the tree and Icing on the Cake for the trunk. Then, I masked off the tree and stamped the car portion in Rockin’ Red.
I fussy cut out the tree and added dimensional adhesive to the backside to pop up on the layout.
Finally, I stamped “Hallmark” and “Movie” with the Ink Road Stamps – Block Party stamp set on Navy card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder from Hero Arts. “Christmas” came from the Are You Serious Clark? stamp set and “Season” came from Happy Holiday Days stamp set. With Tailored Expressions Stitched Banner Stacklets I die cut the banner that “season” is stamped on.
I popped up all the strips of words on the right side of the travelers notebook spread.
To finish off the layout I added a 3.5″ x 3.5″ photo matted with papers from Echo Parks – Celebrate Christmas 6×6 paper pad.
Thank you so much for joining me today. Do you love watching Hallmark Christmas movies? Which one is your favorite? Have a great week and #createfreely.
