It’s Angela here! I have a new fun card to share with you, featuring Daisie Background stamp. The occasion is April, 1st Fool’s Day!
The reason why there is a fish in the card is because here in Italy where I live, the first day of April is called Fish of April. Children and not only them, have fun making jokes and hanging a drawing of a fish on the back of their friends. In a ‘staying at home’ moment like the one we are living, this can be done only between family members but still can be fun so, Happy Fish of April my friends!
To create the card, I first cut a few colored strips of card stock and adhered them on a piece of paper. I stamped on it with Daisie Background with Versamark Ink and white embossing powder. On a second piece of card stock, I drew an oval and cut it out with a precision cutter. I assembled the card putting the oval on top of the colored stripes and adhering with foam adhesive.
Using the paper leftovers, I created the the fish tail. I have a metal die that makes fringes but you can easily use a pair of scissors and obtain the same effect.
That’s all for today, my friends. Thank you so much for visiting the Ink Road Stamps blog and Happy Fool’s Day!
