How lucky am I to be sharing today – February 14th a day of romance! Ink Road stamps has the perfect card to celebrate all things love – regardless of the month! So today I’m sharing a CAS (clean and simple) card I made using the stamp Modern Romance.
CAS cards are a really fun card making concept and perfect for moments when you need a card ASAP or need to make many of the same design – it’s normally defined as a single focal point with lots of open space. Limited layers and embellishments that can be quick and easy to recreate. It’s not a style I would create often as I love creating backgrounds, adding embellishments and layers and I’ll always ALWAYS try to find a way to add machine stitching to my card designs. (This is time consuming and not at all clean and simple). So it was very difficult to restrain myself from adding a few stitched lines around the sentiment!!!
To make this card I stamped the hearts using three different ink colours onto my card front. I then re-stamped the hearts again on white card stock and fussy cut them out. These were adhered on top of the previous stamped hearts with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped in black on pink cardstock, trimmed, and adhered to the card front. I embellished the card with enamel dots and a twine bow. Before adhering the card front to an A6 card base I corner punched the top right corner.
Super simple right? Give it a try at home – perhaps try a different image from the Modern Romance or change the sentiment and make a Galentine’s Day card instead!
