Hi stamping friends, Ali here! So…full disclosure, I am not a card maker! But, when I got my Eggstra stamp set, I knew I had to make an Easter card! And this set did not disappoint! It was so fun and easy to make a card that I actually feel proud of! Let’s check it out!
I started with a white card base and a slightly smaller piece of white card stock. I cut (and by I, I mean my cameo) my basket design into the top piece. From there I started stamping on what would be the “inside” of the basket. I used post-it notes to mask my front eggs and kept layering them behind (truth be told, this basket is probably a little over-full with eggs). It was so fun to color them in! I don’t have fancy stamp makers for coloring (I do have some Tombow markers in primary colors) so I used my handy dandy pastel sharpies!
From there I cut strips of paper and made a woven design to back my cut file. It felt a little boring so I added some stitching and a twine bow. A quick little sentiment at the bottom and, voila, finished….if only it were that quick and easy, right? Every time I make a card I ask myself-why does it take me the same amount of time to finish a card as it does to finish an entire 12 x 12 layout? That is a mystery to me…but most importantly, I got crafty and had fun! Have you stamped today?!
