Welcome back! Samantha here, sharing another card project for the month on April! If you’ve noticed many of the design teams projects have included Ink Road Stamps Gems. Lara has an array of Gem colours and they’re all gorgeous – perfect for adding bling to card projects like this!
I used Daisies Alphas to create this simple ‘hello’ card. I used my silhouette cameo to cut out each letter – however, the design of this stamp makes it very easy to fussy cut with scissors (for those who don’t have access to a electronic cutting machine). I repeated the cutting to create a matte for each letter in co-ordinating cardstock colours that matched the colouring of each letter. I was super impressed with my new Chameleon pens – they were able to create this gradient look. I’m sure, pencils and Copics could also achieve this look – but new colouring medium tools MUST be played with ASAP!
Of course, I added some machine stitching, a twine bow, and finish the card off with a few Ink Road Stamp Gems.
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on some more of these new gems – I need them in all the colours of the rainbow! They’re also a great alternative to my normal go to embellishment – sequins! Hope you liked today’s card inspiration!
