Welcome! Samantha here with my third card for this month, showcasing an Ink Road Stamp die. Today’s card I’ve partnered up the Hello Gorgeous die with Ink Road Stamps Between the Lines stamp set…if you love the look of crisscross, gingham style patterns then I think you’ll love this card!
Again, this card is a simple card based on a great idea. I really wanted the Hello Gorgeous die to be the focal point and I knew I wanted it to be black to pop off the card. For me this required to go a little wild with the background…I chose an Ombre bright Pink Ink Pad (though smooshing ink pad colours can be a lot of fun – if you don’t own one that allows you to ink three colours at the same time). I used the line stamp from Between the Lines and created a very random crisscross pattern. I then added the die cut Hello Gorgeous (in black) and finished the card by adding machine stitched details, sequins and some new bling I got from Ink Road Stamps (Flat Back Half Beads – Kim Purple).
Creating this background was a lot of fun and a great way to stretch out the use of small background stamps. You should definitely give this stamping technique a try!
